Dr. Furlow has more than 35 years of experience in the medical field. He received his M.D. from George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences in 1971. He then completed a residency in Neurology at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia and a residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennesee.

Dr. Furlow has been board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology since 1977.
